Wakulla County School District Equity Handbook
The School Board has established policies prohibiting discrimination and harassment.

No person shall, on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual preference, age, national or ethnic origin, political beliefs, marital status disability if otherwise qualified, social and family background, or on the basis of the use of a language other than English, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity, or in any employment condition or practice conducted by this School District, except as provided by law.

2011-12 Equity Report
In 2004, school districts were asked to evaluate the success of the methods and strategies aimed at reducing gaps in student performance or increase participation of underrepresented groups by race/ethnicity and gender. Added to the accountability, school districts have been asked to report on gender equity in athletics, implementation of substitution requirements in vocational technical centers and employment equity.
