Ancient Egypt

Egypt is located in Africa.

Egypt's climate is hot and dry summers, not so cold winters.

The time period is 7,000 B.C.E.

They used the plow to farm, and we still use it today.

They invented mummification.  To make mummies workers dried the body.  They removed parts and packed the body with salt.  After rubbing the body with spices and oils, workers wrapped it in strips.

Ancient Egypt invented hieroglyphics which is a kind of writing based on pictures and signs.

Fun Facts About Egypt:

1. Pyramids are stone monuments that served as a tomb, or burying place.

2.The first pyramid was the step pyramid of Djoser built around 2,600 B.C.E.

3.A pharaoh never let his hair be seen.  He would always wear a crown or a headdress called a nemes.

4.The first pyramid made out of stone was built in 2,650 B.C.E.

5.Some of the ancient Egyptians slept on pillows made out of stone.

My Opinion

My opinion is that we should get water for the people that don't have water, to help the slaves, have only a few wars, help people that don't have homes, and for the whole world to keep people safe.
