Title I- Supplemental Educational Services (SES)

What are Supplemental Educational Services?

Supplemental Educational Services (SES) is part of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 and consists of services to help students in low performing schools to increase their acadmeic achievement in reading and math. The tutoring is outside the normal school day and parents can choose who will tutor their child and also give input in creating an academic plan for tutoring.

Who is eligible to receive these services?

Students who attend C.O.A.S.T., Crawfordville Elementary and Medart Elementary who are on free or reduced lunch are eligible for these services.

Who pays for these services?

The School District's Title I funds are used to pay for the services.

Tutoring Application

If your child is eligible and you choose to have your child tutored, you will need to print and fill out the Tutoring Application Form.

The number of students served in the past two years:

2007-08: 58 students were eligible for SES and 22 students received SES tutoring services

2008-09: 79 students were eligible for SES and 19 students received SES tutoring services
