1012.35 F.S. Substitute Teachers
The Wakulla County School District Procedures for employment of substitute teachers.

The procedure for employment as a substitute teachers includes, but is not limited to, the filing of a complete set of fingerprints as required in s.1012.32; documentation of a minimum education level of a high school diploma or equivalent; and completion of an initial orientation and training program that includes district policies, procedures addressing school safety and security procedures, educational liability laws, professional responsibilities, ethics, classroom management skills and instructional strategies. |

To continue employment as a substitute teacher ongoing training and professional development opportunities may be required; and all substitute teachers must indicate annually whether they want to maintain active status with the school district. |
