Programs Exceptional Student Education (ESE) program offers services for children from birth to five years old. In order to qualify for this program, the child must show a significant delay in any area of development (Cognitive, Social/Emotional, Motor, Adaptive or Communication) including speech. In order to qualify for the ESE Program, the following process must take place:
Headstart is a federally funded program located at Wakulla Educational Center and Sopchoppy Education Centers. Ten percent of children in Headstart may be over the income eligibility. Voluntary PreKindergarten (VPK) is a state funded program for any child age four who is eligible for kindergarten the following school year. VPK is offered at Wakulla Education Center during the school year and the summer. Students entering Prekindergarten in the Wakulla County for the first time must meet the income guidelines through Headstart, VPK Requirments and/or disability eligibility.
