Ancient Greece

Greece is in Europe.  It was made in 1,000 B.C.E.  The Greeks carved statues on buildings.  Many of their ideas influenced thinkers and artists today. 

Ancient Greece used an alphabet that influenced modern English.

THE AGORA:In Athens, a temple called the Parthenon sat on a hill above the Agora.  It was named after Athena, the goddess of wisdom.

People pick olives in a scene on a vase. The sea linked many city states of ancint Greek.

2. Sparta was a town in southern Greece.
